R26P - 26.0.3.40 test results and problems

R26P
Firmware Version 26.0.3.40

First the good news:
Full upgrade from very old version worked flawlessly. I tested without a factory reset and it was good, but did a factory reset then retested (Change to DHCP as default is very helpful)
Video calls working with FreePbx 14.0.3.6 / Asterisk 14.7.5 (Note: Settings: Asterisk SIP Settings: General Sip Settings at bottom enable Video Support)
Onvif video working with Hikvision DS-7608NI-I2, V4.1.50 (180227)

And now the not so good:
1. Intercom: Motion: Motion Time settings do not appear to save at all (locally to the device) on Submit. They are always unticked with no time shown.
2. Intercom: Motion: Motion Detection Enabled does not trigger a Motion Event on the Onvif stream on motion (when tested with Hikvision).
3. Intercom: Onvif: Username and password are not stored in the Upgrade: Advanced: Export Autop Template file
4. There is no prompt/reminder/warning to change password from default value

Thanks.

Hi sir,

Your feedback is highly appreciated. Here are some replying the points you mentioned:

1.For this issue, I have tested with all of the configurations for motion, and they work well, could you please share me more details about that?

2.R26 supports ONVIF profile S, and profile S doesn't included motion alarm event. So it is not available on R26. There is no doubt that we will make out products to support more functions of ONVIF in the future. But it is a pity that it is still not on schedule now yet.

3.Thanks for your feedback about this issue, we will fix it as soon as we can. Please export the config file to backup the configurations about onvif firstly, it works well.

4.This is a good suggestion, I will help to submit this requirement to our engineers.

Again, thanks for your feedback.

Hi Jon,

You are welcome on the feedback. The more we all know how a product works, the more we can use it appropriately - especially if its usage/compatibility is independently confirmed :-)

RE: 1
When I go to Intercom: Motion, I see after_submit.png picture (attached with nothing selected).
I edit time settings as per pre-submit,png attached picture with all check boxed selected and 00:00 to 23:59 set.
I hit submit.
The page goes back to after_submit settings - with nothing selected in check boxes or time - and this is always how the page appears when I open it.

RE 2:
That is a real shame, can I suggest motion events on Onvif for a future feature?

RE 3:
Would you recommend using backup files to restore settings after an upgrade and factory reset?
I am generally wary of this as I do not know what is in the backup file (e.g. it could be a binary memory dump) and therefore do not know if it will interact badly with an upgrade, removing any appropriate new defaults.

Thanks.

Yours,

Graham

Hi Graham,

Yes, you are right, and we also appreciate such a deep test. Your feedback and suggestions are both really helpful for us.

RE: 1

I have tested several times with this issue, but unfortunately to reproduce it. Could you please have a try to reset it, then have a test again? Or maybe you can redirect it to outer network so that we can have a check?

RE: 2

Sure, it is not we are not willing to do that, but motion event is not included in profile S. I will help to submit this point, when we develop for a higher ONVIF Profile in the future.

RE: 3

Please don't worry about that, all configurations should be included in config file on R26. So for motion time settings issue, you can export the config file, then reset it and have a try again.

Best Regards.
