Hi,

could you share the wireing plans for the R26 with us?
I'm trying to connect an external doorbell, but i'm not sure how.

Could you share the application scenario of connection external doorbell ? It is for residents to open door from inside-room or for the visitors to require entry from outside ? The physical wiring of these two application scenarios is same like below screenshot shown, but the settings on the R26 website is different.

Hi,

I have an Akuvox R26C.Now do I need a wiring diagram to connect an external doorbell and an electric door opener. Do I need a transformer?

Or does the Akuvox R26c supply the power?

Do I have to stop at the Akuvox what relay.

A circuit diagram would be great.

Hi Pincho,

The external doorbell and an electric door opener need power supply alone.
The attached picture shows the wiring solution in common usage. You can take for a reference.
Could you explain the application of connecting external doorbell ? for visitor use or the owner to open the door from the inside ?

Thank you for the connection plan.

I have connected the R26c with POE s.switch.Mein router is the Speedport W724V.Und here I have set up via Lan 1, the Fritzbox as a Sip server.

Fritzbox has the ip 192.168.2.10

The speed haven has the Fritz box assigned the Ip over DHCP 192.168.2.13.

The R26 got the IP 192.168.2.2.

At the moment I try to set up the app Vbell.

I will order the Akuvox IT82 later.

I hope I get it when someone rings, the app shows me that.

If someone presses the R26, there should be a gong
ring.

Hi Dora,

At the moment I solved that.

If an outside activates the Akuvox 26c,

my cordless phone rings.

But I want to have it as it is usual.

I press the button on the Akuvox R26c and inside the gong mentioned in the link rings.
(Door bell)

Hi Pincho,

It seems that we have not support the application scenarios as you described. The R26c and door bell has two kinds of application scenarios like below shown.
Case 1: the doorbell as an "exit button" to press to open the door(the door controlled by the R26c built-in relay)
Case 2: if the flat has two entrances, the R26c located on one, while the doorbell located on another entrances. If the visitor is already in the house entrance and he press the doorbell close to the entrance, so someone inside the flat knows that the visitors is in front the door.

@Pincho The Akuvox R26C also has a 12V output when powered by POE. You can use these 12V pins for powering the electric lock through the relay. The relay can be configured to be low by default and go high when unlocked, or stay high by default and go low when unlocked. This is pretty clever.

This second scenario is ideal for those emergency safety locks that should open a door when the electricity fails, and require constant current to keep the door locked.

It would be wise by Akuvox to create some wiring plans for these common situations where not just the relay is required, but also a current is needed. (Although any proper electrician would know what to do).

In my feeling Akuvox has a very strong offering, but fail to promote this clearly, eg. by lack of documentation and proper guidance on the R26C web interface. Some options are very unclear in how they are supposed to be used, or what options really do, or how values influence the behavior (eg. does increasing the tamper alarm sensitivity make it more or less sensitive ?)

The R26C documentation does not really bring much to the table, it's just a dry listing of the R26C web interface.

But at least we have a forum to share this kind of information. A Wiki would be nice as well !!
