Hi
This APP was asked from some of our dealers, but I am affraid about what is sent to the external servers. I wonder if the software comunicates directly with the intercom to get the images or goes thru an external servers. The reason of asking it is cause In EU countries there are very strict laws regarding confidential data protection and would like to know what kind of information is sent to the external servers.

Hi,
The Smartplus app will be used with Akuvox Cloud. So the Smartplus app will communicate with the Cloud server first when it try to get something.
The Smartplus app can have audio/video call to the intercoms, live view, motion detect and so on.

Hello,
first, the app SmartPlus of course needs to communicate with Cloud, and send or receive data from cloud, but this data(call and door opened log, motion detect pic) is only stored in the cloud account which will be provided to the end user, other people even for the administrator management cannot see the data details from other method, because the data is completely encrypted. so no worry about the confidential data protection unless you lost your cloud password.

Is not if we are worried or not, is that sending images or audio to external servers (no matter if encrypted or not) might be againsta data protection LAW regulation on EU countries.
These LAW regulations are very strict now and will become more restrictive this year.

Do you have any suggestion for this situation? it seems that if using cloud solution, there should be an external server to communicate with data(images, audio, video,etc) for the products.
How about building up a cloud in your country? is that a solution for this case?

It could be, we could assign some resources at our DataCenter to hold one CloudServer for it

Hello sir,
May I know which country are you from, please?
You should contact the one from whom you buy the device to get an account and register if you want to use the Akuvox cloud system.
