Emergency Voice Message

Postby scotthaberecht » Tue Jul 03, 2018 8:00 am

I am trying to get a 15 sec emergency message on the phone, but I cannot get it to fit into a 50k file size.

What are the parameters for the file format.

Surely you can fit more than a couple of seconds of audio.

Regards,
Scott.

Hi sir,

The format of Emergency Voice Message: Wav, single channel, 8KHz, 64Kb/s.

Please make sure that your emergency message meets the format.

Best regards.

Hi sir,

Because the memory of the R15P is limited, it is hard to modify the file size for the emergency message up to 1Mb.
There is a new version, which can allow uploading 200K emergency message. However, it is better to use 100k emergency message. Because the memory of R15P is limited, it may influence the ringtone file and the contacts when the emergency message over 100K.

Best regards.

The new firmware works great. Thankyou.

However, it now shows two softkey labels for account 1 and account 2 on the right hand side. Is it possible to remove these ?

Also is there a way the auto provision the emergency message via TFTP etc (Config.Voice.VOICEMESSAGE.VoiceMsgFile) ?

Also the message seems to start playing when the phone starts ringing. Is it possible to make the message start when the phone is answered ?

Thanks for your work.

Regards,
Scott.

Hi sir,

1. The account status label cannot be removed. Because this firmware version can support two sip accounts, it is convenient for the user to see which account is registered.
2. The R15P cannot support configure the emergency call by autop file, maybe we will develop it in the next version.
3. You don’t need to reset the phone to delete the emergency message. Please try it again. If the problem still exists, please let me know.

Best regards.
