R20 web server stopped working

Postby dschille » Mon Jan 07, 2019 4:20 pm

Hi,

after a runtime of approx. 12 h the web server of the R20 stopped working (no response).
Still can access the RTSP stream, SIP is still registered with our VoIP provider and I can open a SSH connection (but can not log in since the web login credentials are not working).

What can I do to restart the web server of the R20 remotely? Are there separate SSH credentials?
Is this normal that the web server fails after that short period of time?

Thanks and regards
Dirk

Update: Just figured out that the initial connection is working. The browser retrieves a new URL to connect to:

http://IP_ADDRESS/fcgi/do?id=1

connection fails (more precisely: runs forever without results) at this stage.

Hi sir,

Do you mean that the initial web portal should be refreshed and log in again after a few minutes later?
If so, it is a security restriction. Users should log in again after the session time out value, which is 300 seconds by default. You can go to Web - Security - Basic to modify the value.

Thanks&Best regards.

Hi,

no the web portal (login page) is not showing up (regardless how long you wait).
If I start a connection to the IP address of the station the browser gets the above mentioned URL (http://IP_ADDRESS/fcgi/do?id=1) from the station but stays then on a blank page forever. I needed to pull the plug physically in order to get the web service running again.

Hi Dirk,

Do you try to clean the broswer's cache first and then access to the R20's website?

Thanks

Hello sir,

Could you please provide the firmware of the R20 you test?
Also, may I know the network environment (LAN or WAN and so on) and browser of your side, please?
It would be better if you can provide the autop configuration file for us, the path is go to web-Upgrade-Advanced-Automatic Autop. Click "Export" to export the file. Then we can check what configuration you set for your R20.
We will test it and try to reproduce this issue.

Thanks&Best regards.

Hi,

How was this resolved?

I have a customer with a new R20A and this is happening for them as well. Same problem - web page becomes unavailable after some time.

He has tested with Firefox and Edge.
Firmware is 20.30.3.1
Autop attached.

Thank you
